This has been a very insightful conference and a stepping stone for revenue authorities in Africa as a whole, in which we are trying to come together and bring together ideas on how we can effectively tax the digital economy. Listening to colleagues from other revenue authorities and policy makers from other African countries, it has been very insightful to learn from their success stories.

I am very happy that I am part of an important international conference, to represent my country and share our experience on digital economy taxation. I could also understand the trajectory in which Africa is moving and there is always a scope for our future cooperation.

Partnerships with Africa are a high priority for Finland and we believe that one of the most sustainable ways for Africa to finance its own sustainable development needs is to raise domestic resource mobilisation and this is part of our action programme on taxation and domestic resource mobilisation in Africa.
