The Africa CEO Forum, held in Kigali, Rwanda, on 16 and 17 May 2024, was a significant platform for advancing Pan-African economic discourse. Organized in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, the forum convened over 2,000 African private sector leaders and international investors. ACBF underscored the importance of fostering robust institutions and developing skilled human capital – the essential building blocks of a thriving private sector – aligned with the forum's emphasis on building a sustainable future for African
economies.
The Africa CEO Forum focused on four transformative agendas: leadership, digital transformation, continental integration, and financing. Through panel discussions, workshops, and roundtables, participants explored strategies to set high public policy standards conducive to growth, position African businesses at the forefront of disruptive innovation, leverage the AfCFTA, and develop strategies to overcome financing obstacles to unlock Africa's economic potential.
