The Capacity Development for Africa’s Structural Transformation (CADAST) Project was officially launched with a Regional Training Workshop held in Accra, Ghana, on 26 – 28 November 2024. Supporting the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the workshop focused on bridging Anglophone and Francophone markets through trade facilitation, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) partnerships, and value chain development. The event brought together 50 stakeholders, with 40% representation from women- and youth-led organizations, to address critical challenges like limited awareness of AfCFTA protocols and weak policy frameworks. The workshop, organized by ACBF, Centre for Regional Integration in Africa (CRIA), and Phanerosis Global Platform (PGP), equipped participants with tools to navigate trade, foster collaboration, and drive inclusive economic growth. Distinguished guests included Mr. Abdul Kamara, AfCFTA Regional Trade Advisor, and Prof. Lehlohonolo Tlou, CRIA Executive Director. This launch is a step toward realizing AfCFTA’s vision of a unified, prosperous African market. Together, we are building a borderless Africa!
