On the 6thof June 2012 ACBF signed a US$ 5million grant for the financing of Zimbabwe Capacity Building Program.
The purpose of the Zimbabwe Capacity Development Program (ZCDP) is to strengthen the economic management capabilities of the Government of Zimbabwe (GOZ) to successfully implement its Medium Term Plan (MTP). The Program focuses on strategic priorities for capacity development identified by the Government of Zimbabwe which inter alia are :
- Consolidating economic management through building capabilities of economic management ministries and related institutions; and
- Rebuilding public sector institutional and human resources capabilities to support implementation of the MTP.
Program components: The Program comprises two thematic components aligned with the Government strategic priority of continued strengthening of economic management, while rebuilding public sector capabilities for sustained growth and development. The program components are: (1) Strengthening Economic Management and (2) Rebuilding Institutional Capacity for Public Service Training.
