Position: Communications Intern

The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Communications Intern to support its Communications & Influencing Unit. This role is designed for a proactive individual with a strong interest in strategic communications, storytelling, and digital engagement, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to advancing Africa’s development narrative.
Reporting to the Head of Communications and Influencing, the Intern will contribute to the delivery of ACBF’s communication strategies: supporting institutional visibility, strengthening messaging coherence, and enhancing stakeholder engagement.
The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, policy-oriented environment, with exposure to strategic communications initiatives, content development, and strategic engagement.
Selection will be on a competitive basis and the following minimum qualifications, experience, and competencies are required:
Education: University degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
Work experience: At least one year of experience in communications or a related field.
Language: Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of French or other African languages is an added advantage.
